The name A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy is derived from the Goblin language, as A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy was founded by Geddei, who was culturaly Hobgoblin.

Climate

A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy has a yearly average temperature of 21°C (69°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 12°C (53°F). Overview

A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy was founded durring the late 17th century in late summer of the year 1580, by Geddei. The establishment of A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Geddei struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy as a prison colony.

A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy was built using the conventions of Hobgoblin durring the late 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy is is constructed arround a semi-circular restrictive paverstone mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The town's peasent-grade have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Something in your gut tells you that you may be unwelcome in A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy. The town seems like it’s not showing you the side of itself it would show to others. People mostly ignore your questions. Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy's natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

A̋y Yṓzër Vǖy's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used has a sleek, linear appearance with stylized, often geometric ornamentation. The primary facade of its buildings often featured a series of set backs that create a stepped outline. Low-relief decorative panels can be found at entrances, around windows, along roof edges or as string courses. It was best known for its use of smooth finish building materials such as stucco, concrete block, glazed brick or mosaic tile. Decorative details can incorporate various artistic or exotic motifs to suit the building's function or the architect's whim. Chevrons, zigzags, and other geometrical motifs are common forms of ornament.
